The space between stars is not empty. In fact, it is pregnant with possibility. What at first we knew as a vacuum between the stuff of stars we have come to realize is the true birthplace of all matter, though it has no measurable mass unto itself. In this interstellar void there appears to be nothing material or tangible, nothing visible or easily quantifiable. But beyond what we can measure in that blank, black, open field of darkness, there lies seemingly endless potential. This is the realm of the zero point field.

Quantum physics allows for realities to exist both parallel to and in unison with our perception of the universe, even in contradiction to its physical laws. It is estimated that perhaps 90 percent of all potential matter in our universe is comprised of mostly dark matter and its potential impulse, force or power known as dark energy. This force, this dark energy, drives the potentiation of dark matter into being through the zero point field, which draws from the power of singularity — the original compressive force of the Big Bang — to create, recreate, expand, contract and destroy all matter and energy.

The “potent void” of space this becomes the birthplace of everything from light, heat, matter, and gravity to energy, time, dimension and consciousness. In this zero point field all that can be imagined or conceived already exists and is available to become material form. This seemingly infinite place of existence appears to us as both hidden and empty. But in that contradiction we realize that all reality begins as concealed thought and expresses as fullness of being. Thought comes before action. Light is born of darkness and their balance is a shifting of potential matter and energy.

This universe is expanding. The light of stars and the power of atoms is moving apart over time and through space. This spreading effect is due to the expansion of the zero point field, of dark matter and energy; our universe grows based on this phenomenon of ever greater realization of material potentiation. In other words, the stuff between stars that we call “space” is already filled with all the elements, stars, planets, life, time, mind, spirit and embodiment that can be imagined. The universe is darkening so it can give birth to greater light and allow our story to expand and come to know itself more fully.

All that is unknown in darkness will become known in light. We each have a connection and role to play with the zero point field and the creation of all things. God lies in this darkening as much as God is the light born from it. Therefore we are each a facet of light and darkness in the universe and co-creators with all that is and will ever be. The space between stars is best described as dark but full of hidden light — brimming and eventually overflowing with all the stars we don’t yet see.
