Chaos
Unsyncable Unsinkable Titanic
The colossal boat stood proudly on the vast, sparkling sea, which danced calmly, rising and falling like a gentle slide. Millions of people would want to go on an adventure of a lifetime on the terrific Titanic boat. I have worked tirelessly to achieve my biggest dreams. In my eyes the Titanic boat looked like a jewel worth trillions of money, in the large sea it was a light bulb in the darkness. The moment is coming true as I slowly start to walk on the wooden pave of the boat my eyes start to open. “Buzz!”cried the alarm reluctantly trying to strike one. I was disinclined to waking up, my future was about to awaken until the alarm cried like it was an emergency. - Perspective of Grandfather
I reluctantly agreed to help my grandmother clean out the pitch-black, dusty old attic. Little did I know we would unlock the secrets of a lifetime hidden among the trunks and old furniture. Tucked tightly in the sacred journal slept a crisp miniature significant piece of paper. THE TICKET TO THE TITANIC! A ghostly reminder of what could have been. The ticket shone like a rainbow in the sky, inside the ticket imaged an unforgettable future.
My mind bursted with questions about what the decision was that made Grandpa James not go on the Titanic. I gently turned the fragile pages of the journal over as I saw the pages crackle like an egg hatching. In awfully pretty elegant script, that revealed speaking of peculiar plans and bursting excitement. “Methinks tomorrow my dreams will find the key to come true on the lucky journey of a lifetime aboard the unsinkable Titanic.” The ticket revealed our family's past. My views on my family had changed forever.
My eyes were glued to the journal, discovering the hidden pieces of the puzzle. “When James found out that the Titanic struck an iceberg it's like time had stopped for him.” Margaret, my Grandma murmured thick in emotion, her voice trembling uncontrollably. His hands were frozen. A sign of guilt danced bittersweetly in his tummy anxiously. “Why did I have to be spared?” thought James, my Grandpa.
Weeks before the Titanic took off grandpa got to know it was his graduation day. He could not get his graduation any other day. Grandpa was between a rock and a hard place. The times for his graduation and Titanic were unsync . His dreams of going on the Titanic would be crushed to a million pieces. If he took the decision of going to graduation, he would be able to become a fulltime sailor. If he went to the Titanic he would only have one journey but since James hasn't graduated, it would be hard to become a sailor. “My instincts are on the fence, while it is a really hard decision whether I should fulfill my dreams or my career, choosing my graduation will help me more in the long run.” “It is a very difficult decision but I will always try to create new opportunities and grab them any time possible.” Grandpa James undecidely called the shots and decided not to go on the Titanic.
_This is an unforgettable day that has changed my view on my family. FOREVER. 'Was my grandpa truly invited to the titanic? Are grandma and I the only ones who know about this? How will mum react if I tell her.' Those thoughts still lingered through my headMy grandma, Margaret would burst into tears whenever she saw the ticket. This ticket holds boundless emotional value to my whole family. Grandpa's story taught me two invaluable lessons: life is full of unexpected opportunities, and trusting our instincts can lead us down the right path, even when it's not the one we initially envisioned._
