To me, silence is not the absence of all sound. It is moment where the noise of life disapates and my mind rests. The birds may be chirping and the wind may be blowing but the noise of life stops. For a moment I can rest as a stillness settles in me. It is slilent. It is still. It is not empty, but the opposite. I feel full of peace as I rest in the soft silence.
