A heavy breath as they packed up their desk. Years working for the company only to be let go when the recession hit. They loved their job, but now it was gone and even though they had another job lined up, they’d miss their friends, they could see them outside of work, but it wouldn’t the same.

As they packed away the last of their things they turned to see everyone standing in rows of two either side of them. They looked confused, but as they walked down the aisle everyone clapped for them, for the employee who put their soul into the job they’d loved.

It filled them with so much joy and all they could do was cry.
