“We were in love here” I stare at the wall reading the words that show a story of a young couple so deeply in love. Oh, how that seems like such a distant memory. A feeling I can’t quite seem to touch anymore. A feeling that always slips away just before I really get to embrace it. I still remember that day so clearly, all of them. The good days, the bad days, and all of the days in between. “For better or for worse” I said as I stood on the altar of my childhood baptist church. And I meant it, I truly did, and I still do.
