STORY STARTER

While on a first date, you begin to realise that the person you’re seeing is actually someone you used to know. But now they seem very different…

Do I Know You?

Chapter 1: Emails

It was October first, and I was home alone sitting on my couch. My parents had a party to go to so that’s why I’m home alone. I scrolled through my DMS and found one from a man who lived close to me.

“Hi, I’m Noah, I like in Nashville Tennessee. I am 20 years old and am looking for a pizza pal!”

I read more of his bio and he seemed like a perfect match. I sent him a message.

“Hi, I’m Ellie. I also live in Nashville. My age is 21 and I feel like we would be a good fit. “Hi, I’m Noah, I like in Nashville Tennessee. I am 20 years old and am looking for a pizza buddy!”

After sending the message, I looked at the clock and realized it was starting to get late. I shut down my phone and turned off the lights in the living room. Once I was up the stairs I got in my pjs, brushed my teeth, and washed my makeup off. As I lay in bed I thought about Noah. I wonder what he's like and if he will like me.

I suddenly drifted off for the night. I think I slept really late because by the time I woke up my cat was meowing like crazy on my lap. So I got up, fed her and then checked my messages from Noah.

“Hi Ellie, I would love to meet you! Dinner at Pizza Palace, October 10th 6 o’clock?”

I immediately replied, “Yes! That will work great! See you then.”

My heart raced as I repeatedly read his message. At last, someone who will reply within 24 hours.

I responded with an immediate 'Yes!' That will work great! See you then.”

My heart raced as I repeatedly read his message. Finally someone who answers within a day.

Chapter 2: 6 o’clock? More like late o’clock.

The days flew by and suddenly it was October 10th and I was sitting on the couch at 5 pm. I remembered the date was at 6 so I rushed upstairs, got a dress on and did my makeup. After I was done I checked the time and it was 5:30 pm, still time. I got in my car and drove to the Pizza Palace. When I arrived it was extremely busy. I managed to get a table in under 15 minutes because this old couple had finished their dinner and left. I swear I was sitting at the table till 7:00 pm until he finally walked in. In a suit, he looked like someone from a movie due to his brown, fluffy hair, green eyes, and broad shoulders.

“Hi Noah.” I said as he sat down at the table.

“Sup.” He said back.

I was a bit baffled why he would talk to a woman in that way, but I ignored it and placed an order.

“What are you getting? I’m thinking spaghetti and meatballs.” I said with a smile.

“I’m thinking a burger.” He said back this time in a better tone.

“Hey, I feel like I know you? Did you go to Robert High?” He asked.

When I heard Robert High my heart froze. I knew his face looked familiar. This man was my childhood crush, Noah Amar. But he seems to completely have changed. Instead of loose, colorful clothes, he wore clothes that were darker and heavier.

“Yes actually. Are you Noah Amar?” I asked.

“Why yes I am.” He said fixing his tie sarcastically.

“You're Ellie Starch right?”

“Yeah, Why?” I asked staring at his face left and right trying to figure out what else changed.
