Stay By My Side
Step on the toes and not the heads
Dont disturb the people resting in their beds. The grass is aligned two by two the flowers are by your shoes.
The birds they fly in the Sky; oh darlin do not cry. they’ll be back someday they just live far away

Dont let your heart fill with dread
Though the flowers are fading
The love isn’t waning
Oh darlin just stay with me

Oh darlin they ain’t dead in the sky is where they roam oh heaven is their home.
Though the flowers are waning

They are looking down from the sky watching the years go by they can see the kids you bring to this place
Oh they can see the tears on your face….
But they no longer stay in this place
On the way home they live in your heart. Oh darlin just stay by my side
