WRITING OBSTACLE
Describe a setting, without mentioning any physical aspects of the place.
You could focus on the atmosphere, sounds, smells, how it makes the writer feel, etc, but try to not mention physical properties of this location. See if your readers can guess what kind of place you're describing!
Wild
The damp, misty air hit like a soft tsunami, sending shivers along the body, goosebumps rising. Breathing in felt like breathing under a pool, except this was nice.
Birds, monkeys, insects, and bugs all filled the silence, all sounding like a choir. Beautiful, imperfect, and elegant in their sounds. The heartbeat was in sync to them, trying to reach out and become one.
A mix of smells hit the nose, filling the head with both an unpleasant, but satisfying smell. A strong, tropical smell was around, encircling and wrapping around like an anaconda.
Mosquitoes pricked the skin, digging into the skin and leaving itchy, large bumps.
No matter how much you clawed them, they itches more, irritating uou. You could feel them on the back of your head, ruffling your hair to try and relieve yourself.
But you couldn’t.
It was difficult to breathe, but every breath consumed more and more of the pleasant, tropical, and warm smell.
The warmth was what hit the most.
Though it was foggy, and moist, and damp, yet the warmth was unavoidable.
It wrapped around like a blanket, smothering you in its tenderness.
When breathing through your mouth, you could taste the variety of flavors. Sweet, sour, bitter, savory, disgusting, delicious flavors all filled your mouth at once, creating a blast you couldn’t quite figure.
The air tried to bring you down, pushing against yiu and wanting you to fall. Wanting you to bow. Wanting to care for you with it’s ever-lasting warmth
