sometimes, i cannot help but admit i miss pills

silent crashing waves that eased my mind

once i stopped, i had no choice but to deal

once again, screaming slowly started to intensify

i wish i knew how to cope with the anxiety i feel

but it’s like i’ll forever walk around confined

writing has always been my outlet. when i turned 16, i won a huge writing competition that landed me a summer at an art school, and to this day, i feel as if i cannot live up to that winning poem i wrote. i quit for a long time & just started again!
