Band, it sounds nerdy and weird when it comes to find as being a freshman in highschool. People think that band kids are just weird, annoying and loud. What band is to me is more than just some kids and one instruments we play. Band is the ONLY time I feel like I can really breathe without worrying about anything. Music calls to me like breakfast in the morning or dinner at night. Once i’m out of my house into the school my mind is full of what ifs. But when im in the band room or out on a field playing, there’s no what ifs or worries. I can feel relaxed and it’s the only time I feel truely happy, without band or music I wouldn’t be who I really am. Everyone tells me just be yourself but my real self is out there playing music. Band is love and peace.
