STORY STARTER

You are in a room with all the characters you've ever written into your stories. Who will be the most problematic for you, and who will befriend and protect you?

My Characters

I found myself on a boat. The sun was shining brightly and the breeze was moving us along the cobalt waves. I instantly knew the ship. It was named the Oak Arrow. It was so familiar to me. I had spent hours writing the story from which it came from. I heard a clunk and five people came up from below decks, three young men and two young women. They didn’t notice me at first. The five just kept talking in their usual way. I knew those characters right away however. Thy were the five main characters that i had written, Owen, Oakley, Michael, Henry, and Calianna.

Oakley noticed me first. She gasped then elbowed her brother. Owen yelped in surprise and looked at me. That was when the whole group looked at me.

“Hello!” Michael was the first to speak. “It’s so good to finally meet you.” After that things passed fast. Oakley wanted to sword fight adn show off her golden flashing sword. Mitchel taught me some of his moves. Cali made lunch for the group of six and her brother Henry just stood there and teased. He would come up behind and scare me or he would trip any one of the group. However, when he tripped me, Michael often chided him for ‘disrespect to our guest’. Owen liked the jokes but did tell Henry to tone it down a bit. Before i knew it, I had spent a little time in every room of the ship with every one of the characters. Suddenly thunder rolled and lightning flashed. I was in a field. In the middle of a flock of sheep with Reuben the shepherd and William his young apprentice. The rest of the day was spent greeting characters that i had written. Caroline and Issac from a crime story that im writing and the stalker himself, Adam (i ran away from him), in town with Scarlett and Rivera, time traveling with the Jewett twins, Lilly and Lucas.

The day couldn’t have gone better, except when i met the villains and I wouldn’t rewrite them for the anything.
