An Entreaty
Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes, but nothing hurts as much as little words turned lies.
Angels blow their trumpets, thunder blasts at your ears, yet none of this noise compares to a child’s suffering cries.
Crowds release their rage, evil slithers into the souls of good people, but even this doesn’t explain why humanity gives up its glory.
I see you turn your heads
I hear you ignore the cries of the hungry
I speak but you don’t listen —
All portend our Doom.
Show mercy, now.
Share love, now.
Live your truth, now.
