My Girls
The kids are wide awake,
It’s 10 at night God sake!
There are no more breaths to take.
I can’t help but feel so mad.
These kids, they always cry.
No matter how i try,
My day just drags on by.
But i swear its not all bad.
Hard times are just a trial
Sit back and watch a while
Because when you see them smile
It’s so hard to still be sad
The days that i can stay
At home with them and play,
I sure have to say
They’re the best I’ve ever had.
So when all is done and said,
I’ve tucked them into bed,
And kissed their little head
I know I’m lucky to be a dad
