**Prompt: Capture the essence of love or infatuation through screens. Examine the intimacy and limitations of virtual connection.**
High school
Sweethearts,
That’s how
We started,
Though now
We stand so
Far apart,
Yet still
Together.
You got into your
Dream college,
And you left the country
And me
Behind,
Yet we’re still
Together.
_How..?_
A connection…
Not physical,
Wi-Fi!
_With the power of_
_Technology,_
_It’s almost as if_
_You never left my side._
Halfway across the world…
You may be far away,
But we never go
A single day
Without a digital
“Love you” or
“Hello <3”!
Love sent
From me to you,
Wires
Guiding its way.
_A Wi-Fi connection,_
_A technological love,_
_A digital desire!_
The calls we share
Show me
You still care,
And my heart warms up
When I see
How happy
You are there…
_But it breaks_
_When I realize…_
_You were _
_Never this happy_
_When you were physically_
_With me…_
__
_You hadn’t_
_Found someone new,_
_Or had you?_
I knew I was wrong,
You hadn’t moved on,
We were still
Going strong.
We’re in
Different time zones,
So every day
When I wake up,
I check my phone and see
Unread,
Loving messages
From you to me.
It’s such a blessing
That we found a way
To cross the distance
And be together
Each and every day.
_A Wi-Fi connection,_
_A technological love,_
_A digital desire!_

This online connection,
As great as it is,
I miss the way you held me,
I miss the way you’d kiss,
I miss your warmth,
I miss your smile,
To see it in person again,
I’d walk a thousand miles.
But for now,
We have only this…
So let’s
Savor the moment!
_We have…_
_A Wi-Fi connection,_
_A technological love,_
_A digital desire!_
