How do I turn back

When I was a star

Life was on track

Took it for granted

Felt quite invincible

My aura enchanted

Now rather invisible

Stringing two hopes

Together with pain

This is how one copes

With constant strain

Remaining busy doing

Everything and nothing

Disdain still brewing

Longing for something

Reluctantly pressing on

Fuelled by pigheadedness

Losing like I already won

Swallowing this bitterness
