What is it Worth?
Trigger Warning - Suicide
It's time. You stand at the ledge, the world stretched out before you. It whispers, "Jump. Do it. No one wants you here, no one." Your legs tremble as your body is willed forward. The night is quiet, holding it's breath. The moon above watches, as you, a mere spec of dust, contemplate your worth, or lack there of. It is so meaningless; your life, this world. Why live, just to ultimately die? Your eyes squeeze shut, and your hands clench tight. You are about to do it. To jump. It's so easy. Except it's not. You inch forward, your toes now looming above the open air. The wind presses against your back, ushering you forward. There is no use fighting. What would be the point? You take another step.
Mice scurry along the vacant streets, there eyes up, watching. A giant towers above, his toes hanging over the edge of a building. He is so massive; a man. He steps forward, flying down toward his ultimate death.
