I want more than just our peace.

I want to do more than just sit with you in our solitude, where nothing is and ever will be wrong because I know that’s not true.

I want to pull you through the battlegrounds of anger, of the darkness of grief, and the whirlwinds of sadness.

And I am not saying I don’t appreciate the moments where we are so joyous that we forget the strife of life. I love the dates you take me on and I will never forget them. They will never leave my heart.

But when this peace lasts too long, it is when we become too afraid to break it, to confront what makes us upset. I’m afraid that is what has happened to us.

So come home, rant and rave to me about something. Cry a little if you want to. Anything that lets you be vulnerable. Nothing will change how much I adore you.

This peace has been everlasting ever since we became official, and I cannot take it anymore.
