POEM STARTER
Write a descriptive poem which portrays a busy city.
You could use metaphors, imagery, and appeal to the senses, to really capture the feel of a city.
Subways
the stars covering the sky,
along the skyline of a subway and baseball field
a night of sleep awakening to the world thst never sleeps
a small corner coffee shop full
of working class grabbing their bagels
8 and 5 avoid the highways
take the subways or walk
it’s the glimpse of nothingness and all
in the late evenings and early mornings
