As the pair crossed the roaring river, they noticed a figure waiting for them on the other side.

The World Of The Dead

After five years of forgetting her touch I can finally feel her soft hands in mine again. She’s as beautiful as I remembered her being. Her light brown skin, raven black hair, and light brown eyes that were bright enough it could be counted as honey yellow. Her petite frame was even slimmer then before. Death has a strange effect upon these so called ghosts. They do change from how they used to be before their endless demise. “Eris, I didn’t mean for it to end like this” I cried. I more liked sobbed, tears kept rolling down my face. I couldn’t stop, Eris, my love put her hand on my cheek. She wiped his tears away, this moment, I selfishly want it to never end. “I don’t want to leave you again, I can’t “ I confessed to her. She doesn’t talk, she gives me a pitiful look she usually gave me when I begged her not to leave for work. During times so much simpler than now. Times where all I had to worry about was the usual things. If I would get fired by my boss, how I could pay for rent the next month and If I could ever give Eris the life she deserved. Now my worries have turned into getting home from this world of death and misery. For all I know I could be drunk asleep next to my wife’s grave. Eris grabbed my hand and lead me towards a river. The river had roaring currents and from what he could see the only way to cross was by walking across a narrow bridge. The bridge looked unstable, old and moldy . I stop walking, unsure of what Eris is trying to do. Help me get home or send me to my early grave that will let me stay forever. I wish she could speak to me so I can hear her voice on last time. “Eris, what are you trying to do” Eris stared at me for a long time before she smiled. She gave me a kiss on my lips,. Her lips were cold and sent a chill up my spine once she pulled away. She then dragged me along the bridge. The modly boards of the bridge creeked with each step. One board collapsed out of nowhere. I stepped over it and kept walking. The feeling I was being watched loomed into my mind. I looked everywhere for something that could have been the culprit. Then I saw it, a tall lady with pale skin and dark green hair that looked almost identical to branches. Her hair covered her face making her unrecognizable. Who was she, I turnedto Eris to see if she sees the lady to. To make sure it wasn’t all in my mind but I could tell that she also did see it. She face looked pale in fear, she stopped in her tracks. Eris let go of my hand and looked back at me. I know this was our goodbye. Whoever that lady was, she wouldn’t let my Eris cross the bridge. “Don’t leave me, not yet” I begged. “ I don’t know where to go”. What I heard was faint but I know it was real. It was her voice, her lips didn’t move but I could hear her. “Go to where I lay, you’ll be back home, we all have a grave here” She then disappears leaving me to face whatever monster awaits for me at the wnd of the bridge.
