The Fool
Why welcome young man
I’ve been expecting you
Call me the future
What lies ahead
You’ve been called to this here path
With nothing but a small sack
Of simple belongings
You have no wits
No intelligence
But curiosity beyond any I have seen
You are ready
Aren’t you?
Well let’s see
You come upon
A forked path
What lies at the end of the left path is riches
Greed
You’ll never be content
But you’ll be safe
What lies at the end of the right path is unknown
But to get there will be painful
You might find passion
Or burnout
Happiness
Or heartbreak
So what about it?
Right or left?
Left or right?
Adventure or riches?
Greed or curiosity?
Well off to the right you go
You choose adventure
Spontaneity
Recklessness
Stupidity
You chose a path
You could very well die on
Without reaching the end
You chose this because you choose to believe you have free will
But humanity is inherently selfish
It’s a survival trait
And nature plucks out those who think different
Think of who has come before you
Happiness is money
Success is money
Survival is money
Life is money
And you, a simple fool
Chose death
