POEM STARTER
Write a poem about the first time you did something.
New experiences are often thought-provoking. Try to stay away from obvious first times and go for something unusual.
A Draw To Recall
A little pinch.
A little wince.
Keep breathing, keep breathing.
It flowed so freely…
But contained it now be.
The task completing,
The fear now fleeting.
A few drops just to see
Am I healthy?
Unafraid and beaming
No longer silently screaming
I rise from the seat where I rose to the occasion
Standing tall and strong, only to fall without vision
From blue to then red to now possibly dead
Wait, what was it that I said?
What’s in should stay in.
But I will do this again, and again.
Each time I’ll recall
My very first with a fall
The first was all nerves
The rest I’ll be ready for curves
