A vignette is a passage that’s mainly descriptive. Try using the five senses to enhance the description of the scenario.

Abandoned

Abandoned like me this concrete building that used to be a glass factory stood tall vines crawling up it. The front front door was locked so were the rest of the doors. I followed the vines view and climbed up the rebar sticking out the sides were more concrete used to stand.

The rooms were empty that was good but also bad I had room but no cover so I made my own cover. I used the leaves and sticks and other vines to build a barrier. I used it to put cover between where I’d be sleeping and the hole in the wall. The concrete building was old older than me like a grandfather it protected me even through its age.

In the distance I saw the city lights a contrast between the modern buildings and this old concrete structure. Yet it stood tall through the years nobody ever bothered to tear it down because nobody wanted the land. So I claimed it when nobody else wanted it.
