POEM STARTER
Poison.
Write a descriptive poem about something poisonous, and its effect on its target. This could be literal or metaphorical.
Poison Apple Love
Red like your lips,
But toxic like the words that emerge,
Our love is a poison apple,
One I took too many bites of.
I’m drugged out on your love,
It numbed my heart,
So I now I can take the toxicity,
I built up a tolerance
To the poison.
__
_The apple may be poison,_
_But it tastes oh so sweet~_
_Just one more bite,_
_That’s all I’ll eat~_
I’m addicted to you,
To your poisonous love,
You’re like a white dove,
Now black as a crow.
__
_A group of crows_
_Is called a murder~_
_Will your poison_
_Murder me~?_
__
_We’ll see~_
Poison apple love,
A blackened white dove,
A heart now immune
To abuse.
They tell me
You’re toxic,
And all I say is
“I know.”
The abuse that once
Suffocated and strangled me
Is now my addiction,
Withdrawal pains me
More than the pain itself.
Like a poison apple,
Our love is bittersweet,
And the more I eat,
The number I get…
_Numb is my heart,_
_I’m an empty shell,_
_Your poison apple love_
_Sent us both_
_Straight to hell~_
