STORY STARTER
Write a poem that includes this line:
'The mask is slipping'.
Closed Mouths, Open Eyes
Closed eyes, head tilted as two souls become one.
Open minds with closed mouths,
So much spoken without a word said,
Sparks begin to fly as bright as the sun.
One kiss takes a journey of love across the world,
Breaking silence with the sounds of two lips puckering against one another,
No one wants it to end and that’s the beauty,
Our love creates a shell of itself cacooning together, pearled.
But what happens when our lips separate,
Distance is created between our mouths,
But not our souls or our heart,
Do we get to know who we are with words or leave it up to fate.
I just wanted to say I love you,
The mask is slipping,
This person is being revealed to me with an open eye,
The ball is now in my court what do I do.
