A Wonderful Message
We walked down the sandy beach, the warm waves lapping at our feet gently. The sun was setting making the water a rose gold color.
We interlaced are hands as we walked. “Sebastian, where are we going?” I asked as we got farther and farther from the hotel.
“You’ll see,” Sebastian said in tone that worried me.
“Is something wrong dear?” I asked placing a hand on his chest. He lifted his own hand placing it on mine.
“Don’t worry everything’s fine,” he said, combing his callusesed hand through my curly blonde hair. I watched his deep brown eyes change as he spotted what he had been looking for. “Ah ha!” Sebastian said pulling me over to the shore.
He bent down, picking up a sealed bottle. The glass was cracked ever so slightly and the cork soggy from the sea. As Sebastian lifted the bottle towards the sun, I noticed a small, folded piece of paper inside. “Here open it Mandy,” he said handing me his pocket knife and the bottle.
I smiled popping the cork out of the bottle. I pulled out the note that was wet in one corner but other then that completely dry. Sebastian stood up moving behind me. I unfolded the note but Sebastian stopped me. “Wait Mandy read it out loud.” I furrowed my brows but agreed. I unfolded the paper and read it aloud. “Dear, Mandy Jones will you marry me!” I screamed the last bit. I lept up turning to see Sebastian down on one knee. “Mandy Bloom Jones, every since I met you, 7 years ago, I knew that I could not live with out. And what better way to start a new chapter then the same way we start our first one.” He paused taking a breath, “Mandy will you marry me?”
I squealed, “Oh my good glory! Yes! Yes! Of course!” Sebastian stood up putting a sliver
ring of pearls around my finger. Once it was I jumped into his arms, knocking him over. We tumbled down in the sand, the rough dirt scratching our skin. We layed there a knew chapter about to begin.
