WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a descriptive scene in which the protagonist must learn an unusual skill in order to stay alive.
Try to describe the skill in detail, using whatever sensory imagery makes sense for the skill. It might help if it's something you know well.
Staying Invisible
The skill of staying invisible but there is always an backfire of being invisible. You become suspicious to others that feel invisible their selves, technically we are all hiding something. The ones that got pushed into lockers in school. The ones that felt like their work has been stolen and claimed by a selfish bastard that couldnt even accomplish it him self.
Wear black the echo of my mind says.
No.
I have to wear yellow, because it makes me look happier. I look innocent and my smile smiles brighter. It makes my bronze skin look more appealing—brighter even. I put on the yellow dress, my fingers caressed, every seem of my body, i put make up on every bruise in attempt to cover up me being an predator. A nobody that can kill him where he stands. “Because im invisible” nobody would ever suspect me because they judged me, they judge the cover and for once they were all wrong.
Youre living a lie, my mind echos.
The way i smile and graze my hands on a mans wrist, he was paid to kill someone; me. He smiles back, he looks at me as prey as if I’ll be some sort of a little treat before or after he makes his move.
Description: depressed, wears black, doesnt smile the woman looks dull. They make me sound so—simple.
All the terms that offended me. The girl that is never noticed. She is weird, quiet, no one likes her. These words whisper in my head it floats around me like a ghost that demands to be heard
But today im the sunshine that is going to burn him alive. A complete stranger to myself and im going to enjoy every moment of it.
The man that thought he was going to kill became the target, i do feel bad because he doesnt even see the invisible timer the hovers on his head.
His life is the price i have to pay in order to stay alive.
