Don’t mind if I do.. I grab a chocolate bun and slowly walk away. Huh. That was easy-

"Get her!"

I knew it was too good to be true.

I run—and fast.

I push past a man, "Sorry!"

The guards shove past him but they don’t apologise. So rude. Has their mothers never teachen them manners?

I take a sharp corner. Dead end.

The guards corner me. "Nowhere to run now, little girl."

Little girl? I’m literally 21. "Not for you at least." I water weave the water from the puddles and freeze sections of it into icicles before stabbing every single one of them.

They all bleed. Some of them choke out blood. Most of them make pained noises. One of them is dead.

I step over them. "Sorry, excuse me, thank you."

I run again and head to the hideout.

"Hey, guys," I pant once I enter the rundown building. "Where’s Alexa?"

Martin points to the room next door. "Be careful, she’s a bit grumpy."

"When isn’t she? I blame this on you, you know? Freaking knocked her up," I mutter and walk into the room. "Hey Alex," I smile and pass her the bun.

"Oh my gosh, Clem I love you so much right now," the pregnant woman takes it and devours it.
