I have a confession

I’m still not over you

And as I get older and time lessens

I feel this confession is overdue

At times it feels we’re living on parallel lines

Inching closer to becoming one

Or maybe we’ve missed our time

And this lifetime is done

Our love has never diminished

And the yearning can still be felt

So we still don’t think we’re finished

Just playing what cards are dealt

So in this life or the next

My confession will stay the same

And always hope for the best

For this love untamed
