WRITING OBSTACLE
Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.
In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.
A Feat Of Skill
It was time for the young wizard, Apprenrice Horik, to demonstrate the spell he had been working on. Professor Brand was watching closely at his promising new pupil. He had taught him extensively how to effectively use offensive magic to incapacitate his foes. It was time for the Council of the High Mages to evaluate the students. It was Apprentice Horik's turn to show his skills to the council. With a few waves of his hands, Apprentice Horik weaved a great a ball of fire with the gracefulness of a seamstress sewing a robe. The fire danced around the High Mages in a precise, circular motion. The fire began to move closer to the High Mages until they were stuck in place, unable to move. Apprentice Horik had successfully demonstrated a spell to the trap his enemies in a ring of fire. With this first demonstration of skill, Apprentice Horik was able to solidify himself as a prodigy to Professor Brand.
