Pearly Gates Locked
A good day it must’ve been,
A good day, for the devil knew you would sin,
He was festering under your skin,
It was simply a matter of time.
You pleaded and begged for it,
Your face pale and moonlit,
You never thought on your own permit,
Until you heard the three bells chime.
An angel cried at the sight,
Cried at the sight of your fading light,
For god, he now must smite,
For those stairs you can no longer climb.
I will stand by your side,
You can no longer turn the tide,
For Heaven and Hell are at divide,
And you must pay fully for your crime.
