Michelle looked through the window in the door. There was several young girls she was looking at. There was both boys and girls in the room but Michelle had always wanted a daughter. Her husband Benny was at work at the moment but promised he would come with her next time.

"That one over there what's her name ? Michelle asked pointing out one of the girls.

"Oh that's Haily she is turning eight this weekend." Velma responded smiling as she looked at the young girl. At first it seemed like Velma looked nervous but it quickly went away. The little girl was wearing a black dress and it kinda looked like there was a small black bow in her hair but Michelle was not sure. It looked like the little girl had picked up her head at the sound of her name but Michelle could not be certain. Haily quickly went back to messing with something out of sight.

"How long has she been here?" Michelle asked. The more she watched the little girl the more she wanted to take her home.

"Honestly it's kind a sad story. She has been here since she was born. No one knows who her parents are. One day she just showed up at our front door. We went to the police station but there was no missing child that had been reported. Everybody quickly got attached to her but for some reason we have not been able to place her in a home." Velma said looking from Michelle to Haily. This bit of information struck Michelle as odd but she still wanted to bring the you g girl home.

"Did you want to talk to your husband before you make any decisions?" Velma asked as she turned to give Michelle her full attention. Michelle did not hesitate to shake her head no. Her mind had been made up and she would face any consequences afterwards. Velma led Michelle away from the room and towards her office. She did not say so but the truth was she could not send Haily away fast enough. Ever since the child had arrived bad things had started happening at the children's home, and it always involved a child or adult that had upset Haily in some way. It was nothing that she could prove but that did not change the fact that Haily was the center of a lot of disturbing accidents.
