When she looked out her window a wide eyed minowl was staring back at her. It was sitting perched on the neighbors truck with bird-like feet. The beast had two huge, feathery wings the color of tree bark with meaty arms sticking out just below them. A tuft of yellow feathers stuck out like a sore thumb among the brown. The head of the minowl was a bull head with a mane like a lion. The mane (just like the chest tuft) was yellow. Two massive, bulky horns - which were covered in mud - sat above pinkie-sized ears. A ugly nose with two nostrils each the size of a toilet paper roll sat between the creatures wide eyes.

She flipped through her Websters dictionary:

noun: Minowls - mythic creatures of the night, legends say they hunt for children to take tto be punished by the gods.

As the creatures wings flapped with a thundering beat, Chrys ran for the hallway but she didn't make it. Her bedroom wall collapsed and the minowl dug it's sharp claws dug into her shoulders. It lifted her feet from the ground and flew out where the wall once was.

Chrys screamed, thrashing her arms wildly which only let the talons dig deeper into her pale skin.

"Drop me you stupid bull-headed beast!" Chrys shrieked and wicked at the pain in her shoulders.

"Would you like me to drop you from here ignorant little human! Why does the (IM THINKING OF A NAME JUST WAIT, I MIGHT MAKE PRT 2) want you..." the minowl scoffed.

The response was unexpected and the last thing Chrys could remeber before her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
