As if it wasn’t hard enough
Alone on the journey
Another soul to share the burden
Apparently not anywhere near
As I walk through life
A light so far ahead I could not see
Another light standing right beside it
Any light would not do
Alone is what I’ll stay
A dark soul waiting for their light.
