Nessa

Slipping back into the hallway without being seen was harder than she’d anticipated. Part of her couldn’t help but want to indulge in the fantasy — crawling across the floor, slipping silently to Izzy’s thighs, ripping those shorts aside while surprise exploded across her face. The shock and awe as she dove tongue-first into that wet, puffy little snatch burned hot in her imagination.

Leaning against the door, her body still trembling with desire, Nessa let out a shaky breath. She was just starting to stand when Esme appeared, arms full of bags.

“Are you okay, Nessa?” Esme asked sweetly, setting the bags down just short of her.

“Just saw something that made my blood rush, is all.”

“I was told to bring this stuff into the bedroom for us,” Esme said, rubbing the back of her neck with her manicured nails.

“Just leave it here. We’ll grab it before we retire for the night. Best not to disturb.” The words made Nessa giggle under her breath, but she wasn’t about to give away the visions burned into her brain.

Then came a knock at the camper door that had everyone glancing around. Lily darted to answer, squealing with excitement as she threw her arms around someone and dragged them up the steps.

“I’m so happy you could make it!” Lily beamed, hugging a girl her age who stood awkwardly in the doorway. “This is Harley, everyone. My best friend from school.”

“Lord, it’s quickly becoming a girls’ trip,” Cole muttered, earning glares from both Zaz and Max.

“The more the merrier,” Zaz said with a cocky grin. He bowed dramatically like some rich English gentleman and kissed Harley’s hand.

“Down, boy,” Max scolded, shaking his head.

“That’s Max, his friends Cole and Zaz,” Lily explained, rolling her eyes at Zaz. “My sister Nessa, her friend Nicky, her sister Esme. And Max’s little sister is Izzy — not sure where she’s at right now.”

“I know where she’s at. Wish I’d stayed there,” Nessa muttered as she rejoined the group.

Once everyone settled in, Max started the camper. Zaz and Cole claimed the front, Esme perched with them, giggling at Zaz’s jokes.

Nessa, however, hadn’t been able to look Izzy in the eye since she came out of the bedroom, pretending she’d been using the master bath. Technically true, but the “master” part wasn’t the full story. Nicky and Lily were lost in their phones, showing each other videos, while Harley sat quietly, equally absorbed in her screen.

And then it hit Nessa like a freight train. A sweet, intoxicating scent curled into her nose, dragging her mind right back into that bedroom. She shook her head to clear it, only to catch Izzy’s gaze. Izzy blushed and quickly buried her face in her phone.

It’s gonna be a long night, Nessa thought, huffing under her breath.

“If you all want to get some sleep, we should be out of Kansas by sunrise,” Cole said, fumbling with an old map and his cell phone.

“I’m not tired,” Izzy huffed. Nessa giggled softly.

I could fix that.

“Play a board game or something?” Max shouted back from the driver’s seat.

“How about truth or dare?” Cole suggested eagerly.

“How about never have I ever — with shots?” Izzy added, making Cole’s eyes light up.

Izzy’s gaze darted toward Nessa. Nessa didn’t move, refusing to give the little minx the satisfaction. She had all the power now.

The group gathered around the table. Cole and Zaz brought over bottles of Jack Daniels and Grey Goose, with a stack of shot glasses.

“Here’s how it works,” Zaz explained. “We go around and say never have I ever. If someone calls you out for lying, you drink twice. If you haven’t done it, you drink once.”

Everyone nodded, glasses filling.

To Nessa’s surprise, Izzy picked whiskey over vodka, giggling as Cole poured.

“Who wants to start?” Zaz asked, looking around. When nobody volunteered, he sighed. “Fine. Never have I ever gone on a road trip like this.”

Everyone but Cole and Izzy drank.

Cole was next. “Never have I ever accidentally pissed myself.”

Laughter erupted as Zaz slugged him. “You’re a dick. I was piss drunk, okay?”

Next was Izzy. Her eyes locked with Nessa’s, a mischievous grin curling her lips. “Never have I ever caught someone masturbating.”

Nessa’s stomach plummeted. Izzy was daring her.

Cole groaned. “I’m out.”

“Same,” Nicky chuckled, while Esme turned bright red.

Everyone else drank — except Nessa. She squirmed in her seat, tempted to lie, but Izzy winked at her, sealing her fate. All the power she thought she had slipped away like a bag out of a moving car.

“Fine, I’ll go,” Lily jumped in, cheeks rosy. “Never have I ever cheated.”

Nicky and Zaz didn’t drink. Everyone else did.

Nessa blurted without thinking: “Never have I ever kissed a girl.”

Izzy didn’t drink. Neither did Zaz, Esme, or Nicky. Nessa gave Izzy a questioning glance, but Lily cut in, tipsy and curious.

“Cole, you’ve never kissed a girl?”

He flushed. “Just never found the right one.”

Then, to everyone’s shock, Nicky stood, leaned across the table, and planted a sloppy kiss on him. Esme and Izzy giggled.

“Well, now I’m your first,” Nicky teased as she sat back down.

The group cheered, and all eyes turned to Harley, quiet in the corner.

“Never have I ever done… ‘it,’” Harley stammered, making air quotes.

The table roared with laughter.

“We’re all adults here, cutie,” Nicky teased. “You can say the word.”

“Maybe she’s not comfortable,” Lily defended.

But Zaz smirked. “Come on, Harley’s never been shy.”

Her face turned crimson. “I’ve never been fucked!” she blurted. Laughter roared again.

Cole drank first, earning a grin from Nicky. Izzy drank too, shocking Nessa.

“I call bull on Izzy,” Nessa said sharply. The table fell silent. “Just because your brother’s here doesn’t mean you gotta lie.”

“Nessa…” Max growled from the driver’s seat.

Izzy’s throat bobbed, then she filled her glass and threw back the shot. When she finally looked up, it was with a cocky little grin.

Little brat. I see you, Nessa thought.

The game spiraled from there — laughter, teasing, flirting, and secrets spilled. Until Izzy suddenly groaned and vomited all over the floor.

Max groaned, the boys howled, but Nessa was already hauling Izzy down the hall, practically carrying her.

“You’re gonna be alright,” she whispered, holding her over the toilet. Another wave hit.

“You don’t have to mother me!” Izzy shouted, before retching again.

“Why are you like this?” Nessa sighed, holding her hair back.

“Guess the little one can’t hang,” Zaz laughed from the table.

“She’ll be fine,” Nessa said firmly. “She just needs to puke it out.”

Izzy glared between heaves. “Stop laughing! I don’t need anyone.”

“I know. You can do bad all by yourself. I’m witness to that.” Jealousy slipped sharp in Nessa’s tone.

“I knew it,” Izzy groaned, gagging again. “I didn’t mean—”

“You said my name, hun. It’s fine.” Nessa giggled. “Glad you think I’m fap-worthy.”

“I came downstairs to spend time with you. Something just makes me want to…” Her words dissolved into another wave of sickness.

“It’s okay, Casanova,” Nessa soothed, rubbing her back.

Max peeked down the hall. “Guess she partied too hard?”

“Yep. Lightweight,” Cole added.

“I got her. She’ll be fine,” Nessa assured.

“Told you she was gonna be your problem,” Max teased.

“Still a hot problem,” Nicky slurred, as Esme dragged her toward the bedroom. “Smells so sweet in here. Like peaches…”

That set Nessa off laughing all over again.
