I sit here staring at your coffin, to think just yesterday we were conversing about all of our wildest hopes and dreams. A funny thought - one moment your shoes are secured onto your feet and the next you find yourself tripping over that pesky shoelace that never seems to hold, I need a new pair of shoes. I’m not sure how life will go on without you, but I will manage. You always taught me to keep going even when it feels impossible because those are the moments you really grow as a human. What is a human without loss? I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to know. You had this energy that was so indistinguishable and mysterious, I could never really put my finger on where your mind was - and maybe that’s why I sit here staring at your coffin. If only this once you had followed your own advice. Maybe your moment felt more than impossible, I’ll never know, but that was your choice to make. I will miss you. Visit me in dreams.
