WRITING OBSTACLE
Submitted by Lizzie Rose.
Write a poem or story about fog, steering away from any horror themes.
Usually when we think of fog, our minds come up with a daunting image. Try to make your story/poem beautiful.
No More Beauty, It’s Glass.
It’s unfocused, like a glossy gaze.
The tears of an angel, glazing overhead like the mist rising from the salted waves in a sea.
Hiding like a heavenly protector, knowing what it keeps.
It’s a weeping woman as beautiful as the blowing breeze in a coastal village.
Her tears roll down for she can’t find a thing in this fog.
Her hands shake as she wipes her tears, her lips parted, a kiss away, her eyes wide and big, her eyelashes dramatized by her salty tears.
The fog hugs her, embraces her, comforts her.
A hazy romance, forgotten and warmed in this thick caress of a hot breath on glass.
