WRITING OBSTACLE
Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.
In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.
Take a Seat (Laura Nones)
"Demonstrate," the woman said, gnarling at the grit behind her mouth.
The other steadied herself on the ramp.
"What am I supposed to do again?"
"You know - just try not to incapacitate yourself in the process."
She nodded, realizing that this was the only way to solidify their relationship.
The motorcycle snarled to life; she revved it, shot a glance back, then popped a wheelie down the ramp.
A cheer following her.
"Take me with you!"
She laughed, brakes screeching, and came to a stop, patting the seat behind her.
