All Because Of My Hate

I went blind.

Today, it happened.

I didn’t mind,

But today, it happened.

It was five minutes, barely.

I can’t remember it at all,

That part is scary.

It wasn’t scary _then_, not at all.

I was so pissed,

He had no right!

He swung, missed,

Grabbed my shirt and spat and cussed, right?

So I swore every swear in the books,

And I yelled and I spat back,

You wouldn’t think it based on my looks,

But I’m _can_ snap back.

This man I barely knew,

I pissed off his kid

‘Cause I was dealing, feeling pretty blue,

And he freaked, just ‘cause of his kid.

He shoved the guys down,

Told them to fuck off,

Thank god that Sue’s mom was in town…

Anyway, the guys had fucked off.

Sue and I, we walked away,

She was crying; they were like parents to her.

I didn’t know what to say,

So I just hugged her.

I can’t remember either swear or shout,

But they told me I did great,

When they guys came back about.

All because of my hate.

All because of my hate,

I fought back.

For once, wasn’t too late,

I can fight back.
