Time seemed infinite

I thought I had more

Now the end is imminent

And its shaking me to my core

It’s unimaginable

How its coming so soon

It’s unfathomable

And I don’t know what to do

Everyone seems one step ahead

I do my best to match their pace

But all too quickly my mind fills with dread

The future is approaching me with a blurred face

The path seemed simple

The path seemed hopeful

Now I’ve realized as I write

The time I thought I had is quite finite.
