Moonshine And Moonlight
I can get drunk on the way you smile. Every piece of me hides in the dark until you saunter over with your home-made laughter.
You’re deadly, in just the right mixture in the day and night. You could kill people with the way you make them feel—terrible with how they abuse your kindness or emphatic with how they feel safe, listened to, and understood.
You show that purity and strength are an excellent combo for living. Under starlight, there are small potentials for happiness that break through to the night to guide someone home. You? You’re a full moon illuminating the way for travelers trying to find themselves in their darkest moments.
You are a shot in the dark, a tonic for possibility cultivated by struggle. And yet, even when the sun doesn’t shine, you give mercy and extend your hand to dreams.
You are moonshine and moonlight in the best of ways. Never change.
