POEM STARTER

Submitted by Kell.

Write a poem which describes the feeling of betrayal.

You could write in any genre or style, but use this as the central theme.

Colors

I painted over the grey skies, painted rainbows to cover up the white lies.

I mixed the lies with red flags, and made it all a sunset pink.

If I painted it warm enough it would make the days brighter, you would think.

I covered the black and blue bruises on my kicked around heart a bright red

I painted color to mask the darkness inside my head.

I painted the highest quality I could of you,

But the tears have washed away the color leaving it all blue.

I painted the decaying roses the cheeriest of yellow,

Attempting to make things calm and mellow.

I tried to repaint your eyes, any color but the color of green,

No matter what color I dipped my brush in it was the only hue that could be seen.

I got burned while trying to paint the insensitive orange of our twin flame.

Try all I want but I couldn’t paint it the same.

I got lost in the color of indigo,

Day dreaming of letting my heart go….

We mixed colors together and painted the skies violet……

It could have been such a vivid world to bad you wouldn’t try it
