Untitled

I built a fort of peanut shells,

And ladders made of string,

I crowned myself the President

Of Every Stupid Thing.

I wrote a law that Tuesdays must

Be spent in jelly pools,

And everyone with freckles gets

To boss around the schools.

I trained a duck to juggle socks,

I taught my cat to deal—

Then the duck and cat both winked at me…

It was all becoming real.

So if you see a flying chair

Or hear a snail that sings,

Just know my kingdom’s open wide

For all impossible things.
