We were like sisters But cousins Play hockey till we had blisters
Then you lost hair And not your pride But the cancer was there
It was gone Then it returned And soon it would be done
It would take control Take your life Leave you immobile
It would kill the tweety birds Make me cry every January And leave you without words
I left the tweety angle on the tree As a reminder Of you and me
