Heart
All in a golden afternoon,
under the skies of cloudless blue
Wings of gold and emerald eyes
Represent both you and I
Love is like an arrow
Always striking true
Whether it harms or aids
Was always up to you
Though your dreams were shattered from lies
I tried hard to show you mine
But a burden it was
To achieve my dream
Your questions never had answers
That I could see
A dove can be precious,
Beautiful to own
But your priceless feathers
Were worth it, tenfold
No birds sang when I set you free
But my love for you, regardless, still grew
All in a golden afternoon,
under the skies of cloudless blue
