STORY STARTER

Submitted by Taylor Amerson

A lone, aged man wanders across the wild land searching for something.

What does he seek?

Echoed Respite

Echoed Respite.

Tethers are suppressed to end when you have nothing left, but this land keeps going and without respite.

But go on I must, lesser souled have given up and forgotten what it is all for.

I mutter in the back of my mind that despite there being a goal, it is the ground under our feet that makes us, shapes us and humbles us.

In the end the journey will spit us exactly where we need to be and not a moment before or after.

So here I sit on this beach, feeling the assortment of stones under my feet and listening to the tide rake the shore for its take.

This is where I am meant to be, eyeing the horizon, with you by my side and understanding that whatever got me to this point, you are both journey and destination.

…

I love you baby and Happy Birthday!
