WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a dialogue scene in which two characters have an important conversation while playing hide and seek.
How will you use this scenario to compliment the dialogue?
Divorce
The house was dark and quiet. The children were left alone and the adults were out for the night. There wasn't much they could do so they decided on a game of hide and seek. There were so many areas that a child could hide within a house. It just takes a little creativity. Frances counted to one hundred while the other two children ran to hide.
"My parents are going through a divorce," whispered Mable, while sitting in the closet with Bert.
"That is terrible," Bert replied.
"I wish they would just go their separate ways already, it's driving me crazy," Mable said, as softly as she possibly could.
They heard the room door open and waited patiently as Frances searched the room. They heard him calling out for them and shuffling through items as his voice moved around.
"Are you in here?" Frances called out.
