I knew it was wrong,

Yet I was unfazed by the consequences of my own emotions—alluding to the strain of the greatest story ever told yet the most somber requiem of what should’ve been more than unrequited love.

Ive read the Bible many times,

Indulged in the worst kinds of metaphorical, poetic pleasures,

Sinned against my own autonomy,

However;

Loving you was the worst crime of all.

It was the unrepentantable kind of sin.

The kind that would eat you alive and consume you whole within seconds of its taste.

There are ‘Seven Deadly Sins’

So they say.

Loving you is the 8th.
