Along US 101 on the Oregon Coast, in a small town calling Lincoln City, there is a little strip mall with a few cute little shops and a cafe. This little town cafe, has cribbage board. Board if all types. Each were unique and beautiful.

Cribbage is a very old card game and a board with pegs. The first person to peg their way around the board wins.

Olivia’s mom was visiting her from California. Her mom can only come up to wish her 2 times a year so each visit, it’s very important to Olivia. Olivia’s mom is her best friend and her rock.

The mother daughter duo were at the coast for a little day trip, which is the twos most favorite place on earth, and were starting to get peckish for a snack and something to drink. Olivia and her mom went into this little cafe in Lincoln city in a little strip mall and after ordering, Olivia noticed there were cribbage board and crabs for guests to uses. And for 2 hours Olivia and her mom played cribbage for 2 whole hours in that little cafe off US 101.

Olivia and her family played cribbage all the time at home. It was rare to not see the cribbage board and cards set up on the counter. But this time felt different. It was special because Olivia was at her favorite place with her favorite person, playing her favorite game and just having fun. That moment became a core memory for Olivia and she replays it every time she starts to miss her mom.
