POEM STARTER
Mysteries of the Night
Whether something natural and beautiful like the stars, or something more sinister, write a poem that focuses on things that are most prominent at night.
Edible Stardust
My eyes looked up
And instead of leaves,
I saw a thousand stars leaving,
Migrating to find better skies.
Branches holding out,
Edible stardust falling down:
I opened my mouth
And it was sweeter then apple pie.
The moon shined bright,
Illuminating the sky, The
Countless meteorites
Adorning the Heavens…
Of blue,pink and purples,
I could see it reflecting
On me and on this stardust tree
Ive been sitting under.
In that moment I wondered,
While my feet curled
In infinite tinted grass,
Just where I might be.
And what was this place,
Where fireflies shined
As if costellations
Connected, yet evading my touch;
And the hue of the ground,
Seemed to glow under the warmt
Of a body Im not sure
Who it belongs to…
