When we pull off

Our masks,

Aren’t we all

Just human?

Behind the mask,

I’m just a person,

Like anyone else,

I’m nothing special,

But my mask

Tells a different story.

When I’m wearing my mask,

My true self is not

Reveled,

And I’m like a

Whole new person.

Outgoing, confident,

Smiling like crazy,

That’s who I am

With the mask on.

Scarred, scared,

Afraid of life itself,

That’s who I am

With the mask off.

My mask shields me

From getting hurt.

If I don’t let my heart show,

It won’t get broken…

But it won’t ever get

Taken…

We all bear,

We have our flaws

And strengths as well.
